Foundation SA’s Neighbourhood Grants provide funding, of up to $5,000 per grant, to support community-led projects and initiatives across our state. At Foundation SA, we believe that strong, connected communities start with small, local initiatives that make a big difference. Since our inception, we’ve given out almost $100,000 through Neighbourhood Grants to help support our vision of a connected, resilient, sustainable South Australia for all.
Once the grant round is open please follow the following steps to apply:
Step 1. Read the Grant Guidelines to make sure your project or activity meets the eligibility and key criteria requirements.
Step 2. Preview the Grant Application Form before you get started.
Step 3. Register for the Foundant Grants Portal. You only need to do this once for all our grants. If you already have an account through Australian Communities Foundation, please use your existing username and password.
Step 4. Once logged into the portal, click the Apply button in the top left of the dashboard and enter the access code: FSA2025
We will notify you of the outcome of your application in June.

These grants have been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Foundation SA main fund and our sub fund holders. When we launched the Neighbourhood Grants in 2022, we awarded grants of up to $2,000 each. Thanks to the power of collective giving, we’re now awarding grants of up to $5,000 each.

We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide region on which our office stands, the Kaurna people. We acknowledge all First Nations peoples and their deep connection to the land. The dispossession and treatment that has occurred, still impacts on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today. We walk hand-in-hand with all First Nations peoples on the path to reconciliation.
